A night of praise and worship by featuring some amazing touring bands as well as some fantastic up and coming student worship bands. We aren't JUST about the worship! Feed your spirit with an inspiring message by our talented guest speaker, Pastor Brian Wood from Chesapeake VA.
No entry fee required, this is a fundraiser to help support the Camp Ara ministry. Love offerings will be accepted on campus. Camp Ara relies on the generosity and support of individuals, families, churches, and communities like yours. With your support were able to continue to provide community programs, maintain and upgrade our beautiful campus, and provide scholarships to families who might otherwise never experience camp.

The Shine Effect
The Shine Effect is a full-time, ministry minded, 4-piece energetic Christian rock/worship band from Jacksboro, TN striving to answer the call God has placed on their lives to serve Him and minister to others through music and testimonies. The band is made up of Josh Roberts (Vocals/Guitar), wife Christa Roberts (Drums), Josh’s brother Ben Roberts (Bass/Backup Vocals), and Ben’s wife Maria Roberts (Keyboard/Vocals). The band was a 3-piece from 2011-2016 until Maria joined the stage in 2017.
In May 2011, The Shine Effect released their first full-length, self-recorded album, “The Life. The Hope. The Journey.”. In March 2013, the band released their 6-song EP, “With Open Eyes“, which was recorded at The Sound Lair with producer Miah Lajeunesse in Knoxville, TN. They released 2 singles, “Stronger (Hallelujah)” and “Your Beautiful Name”, from their “With Open Eyes” EP, and received radio airplay on about 50 radio stations. In June 2021, The Shine Effect released their 5-song EP, “The Struggle and the Victory”, recorded at The Sound Lair again with producer Miah Lajeunesse.
Since May 2011, The Shine Effect has played over 900 concerts in 30 different states across the US and also in Canada. The band has played and ministered at many different churches, youth groups, Celebrate Recovery groups, festivals, revivals, Vacation Bible Schools, Christian camps, Christian and secular venues, community events, fundraisers, public and private schools, county and state fairs, non-profit organizations, etc. Celebrate Recovery is a HUGE passion of theirs as they all work the program themselves! They have played, ministered, and shared their testimonies at almost 300 different Celebrate Recovery groups!
